au revoir 2012… hello 2013..

This year is finally coming to a close! As i type my final post for 2012 i just want to reflect on everything!

In the past year we have seen horrific occurrences around the world, women abuse in India, child massacres in The united States, Child marriages in Malaysia, teenage bullying and suicide all over the world, a child who wants desperately to be educated shot down by thugs in Pakistan, People killing helpless animals.. Its enough to make you lose all hope and faith in humanity.

But we must always remember to keep hope alive. i myself almost lost all though out this whole year. It was hard to keep believing that as humanity we haven’t went all bad, but as one can see it has been a busy year for the perverts, criminals, rapist, murderers of this world…

G. K. Chesterton said “But all is not lost, the world is till full of loving, caring people who try to help those who need it. As 2013 rolls by i just hope to do something to atleast help 1 person a day. And i hope that we all become more informed and empathetic to what goes on, not only around us, but all over the world.”

The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes. Unless a particular man made New Year resolutions, he would make no resolutions. Unless a man starts afresh about things, he will certainly do nothing effective. Unless a man starts on the strange assumption that he has never existed before, it is quite certain that he will never exist afterwards.

Having said that, i wish all of you a very happy and prosperous new year! Enjoy responsibly ( maybe a little wildly) and show some love to all those whom you care for. Talk to you all next year! 😀

This happens to be the world in which we live in.. men feel they have the right to take what they want, from whomever they want it from with no care in the world of how that affects the victim.. :-/

I think as women we all need to read this and familiarize ourselves so that we do not become a statistic..

Being a victim of rape and wanting to look out for others when it comes to violence, rape and murder, I saw this post and decided to reblog.

‎”THROUGH A RAPIST’S EYES” (PLS TAKE TIME TO READ THIS. it may save a life.) Reblog this!
It seems that alot of attackers use some tactic to get away with violence. Not many people know how to take care of themselves when faced with such a
situation. Everyone should read this especially each n every girl in this world. THOUGHT THIS WAS GOOD INFO TO PASS ALONG…

FYI – Through a rapist’s eyes! A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:

1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle.

They are most likely to go after a woman…

The Law Really Is An Ass!!

Today i read something quite interesting and thought provoking.

” In most countries worldwide it is illegal to have sex with a child less that 16 years of age, yet it can be allowed with the parents consent to marry a child of less than 16 years of age”

So this got me thinking, it seems in the world pedophilia is allowed as long as you marry that child that you are defiling. This shows that the law really is an ass. I say this because i feel it is by no means ok for a grown ass man, or even a boy to marry a child, taking away their child hood and innocence.

Know i know i talk about this a lot and i am probably just rambling, but the fact of the matter is i am being bombarded with news of kids being married off  by their parents even at the tender age of 12 years old and the media in which i see these stories plastered on is trying to make it seem like this is a normal occurrence, it is pretty much socially acceptable practice in most Muslim countries ( Now dont get me wrong, i am in no way saying this is a Muslim practice, i am just saying it is mostly done in Muslim countries like Malaysia, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, etc.)It just makes me sick to my stomach.

World Aids Day!!

As I wake up this morning i make it a point to let everyone know what today is. I have realized that it is in the society that i live in that no one care about educating themselves on this crucial matter, they live life( ignorantly thinking it does not concern them) day to day having unprotected sex, selling their bodies for not more than 20 buck even some of the doctors attempt to use the same needle on different patients *gasp*! So here is my little piece of encouragement and enlightenment for all who might be oblivious to this matter.

world

World AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1 each year around the world. It has become one of the most recognized international health days and a key opportunity to raise awareness, commemorate those who have passed on, and celebrate victories such as increased access to treatment and prevention services.

UNAIDS took the lead on World AIDS Day campaigning from its creation until 2004. From 2004 onwards the World AIDS Campaign’s Global Steering Committee began selecting a theme for World AIDS Day in consultation with civil society, organisations and government agencies involved in the AIDS response.

Themes run for one or two years and are not just specific to World AIDS Day. Campaigning slogans such as ‘Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise’ have been used year round to hold governments accountable for their HIV and AIDS related commitments.

It is such a shame to see that the people around me, people in my environment do not even know the symptoms of AIDS, they do not even know it is contracted, they just believe its a disease for homosexuals(yes still on that train) or for bad people, or even for non-Muslims(i live in a Muslim country, Malaysia and i’m surrounded by Arabs, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and of course Malaysians). It even hurts me more when they stupidly believe only Africans have AIDS( I mean what kind of fucked up ridiculousness is this!!).

Anyway, on this day i hope we an all learn a little bit more about this pandemic and educate as well as protect ourselves.
