Hookers..Hackers And Heartache..

When i was in High school and thinking about coming to university, i had no idea the experience would be completely different from what i have gone through for the past 4 years.. Lets see, in the mist of my 4 years in University i have had a stalker who loved hacking into my email, as well as my boyfriend’s email and threaten him..I never thought that i would have to change my password every day or for my better half to also be very careful what he does because the stalker might want to beat him up or something if he did wrong.. ¬†ūüėÄ Which i have to admit even though it was a little scary in the beginning it was kind of flattering.. :-)..

Which i have to admit even though it was a little scary in the beginning it was kind of flattering.. :-).. I have witnessed and met about 6 university girls who are hooking, ( girls from countries like Malaysia,Egypt, Sudan, Nigeria, Iran as well as Botswana are selling their bodies for money or even booze in and around Cyberjaya) ¬†Apparently they are hooking their way through college.. ūüôā

¬†And now the latest part of my college experience is a heart break.. I never thought that i would have to deal or try to survive being heart broken because i have always been so very naive when it comes to matters of the heart.. I have never been one to trust easily, i have always had my guard up, that’s why i never even had a boyfriend in high school because there just wasnt any one who got my attention and i didnt want to open up and let any one in.. But then i came to University and met what i thought was a pretty awesome guy, fell overly and insanely in love. I mean when i met him i thought we will be together for ever, he was, i mean still is the one, my soul mate, the one i was supposed to be with, destiny.. The things started going south and now i have to learn to live with this bulging, insufferable pain in my heart, down my gutt, through my head.. I have to live with trying to keep tears from flowing down my face every single hour of the day.. The hardest part about this new venture in my life is trying to paste a happy face on as i talk to random people and as i walk about in the streets..¬†

What were you expecting in college and are you experiencing everything that you wanted to? ūüôā

Racism At An All Time High In Malaysia…

Normally¬†i¬†don’t¬†really like to talk about racism because it exist in every single country, in every single second, i can take the constant stare and wonderment, the believe that i have a pet lion ( lol, yes that is really what they think ) or the insufferable way they believe it is ok to call you the N word as a joke, but i just had to say something about this. For the past 3 weeks it has been pretty hard for any black person to walk freely in the streets of Malaysia because for some reason the immigration department in Kuala Lumpor ( the capital city) are conducting raids and the people they are targeting are black people. Of course they cover it up by saying they are conducting raids on all¬†foreigners, but the fact of the matter is they only arrest black people. They are not giving reason as to why, but they have started arresting even students and random other people just walking the streets. To be safe now all Africans have to always have their passports on them at all times when they are not in their work places, Universities or their homes. This in turn makes it very dangerous because at any point the passports could be lost, or even stolen, if by some chance you are caught and you have no passport on your person, you are taken to jail until official documentation can be shown to prove that you are in the country legally.

I mean if you are going to monitor every black person in your country, then have the nuts to just state that, do not hide behind the lie that you are monitoring all foreigners. I believe that as we get into a new era, racism is becoming stronger and now people feel it is fine to act like this because they hide behind fancy laws.

As a black person living in Malaysia as a student i am affected by this, but thank fully i have not had to experience the detention or the questioning, i still always hope and believe that a time shall come that we will all live happily together regardless of our nationality, skin color, religion and any other obstacles that make us hate one another. Most call it naivety, and maybe it is, but if i didnt believe that things will get better, or that humans will become more accepting and love one another, then i would not be able to survive in this world.

Of course i believe if some one has done something wrong( broke the law of the country) then they fully deserve to be punished for their crimes, but if its just an innocent student, or law abiding citizen, i do not see the point for these racist acts by the immigration department and the police.

Africa Is Not A Country…

Africa is not a country, it is a continent, just like Asia, Europe and The Americas. I am so tired of the ignorance and the stupidity of people who keep telling me :

” hey can you drive from South Africa to Nigeria with out needing a passport”?

I mean come on people, who does not know that these are two separate countries, in what part of the world can you just hop from one country to another with no passport and have it be just fine. Living among the people that i live with has been especially difficult as well as very frustrating for me. 90% of them think that Africa is one country, and that africans all know each other.

I can not believe how in this day and age grown people do not know the continents of the world, or how they can think that all Africans speak the same language, as if there is such a language called African, i mean is there a language called Asian? Does a person from China speak the same language as a person from India?
Not so long ago a woman asked me ” So do you hang out with Beyonce?”..lol.. Because i’m¬†African¬†she¬†automatically¬†thought i know all black celebrities.. It¬†appalls¬†me every single day to be listening to dumb questions, ignorant comments.
In the world that we live in today, we should be educated enough to know that not all Africans / Europeans / Americans know each other, we should be smart enough to know what is the difference between a continent, a country and a city. Lets all work to put aside boorish uninformed ideas and try and learn more about certain things that we lack knowledge on, instead of making our own conclusions which end up being not only wrong, but terribly embarrassing.
