Lets Trade Places..

andy

How about we trade places for once, for a day, even just an hour!

This is how I sometimes feel about being a girl in a relationship. I want to trade places for once, I want my boyfriend to feel how it is like to be his girlfriend, how it is like to be a girl period!

The waiting for calls, the loving too much(I believe women always love more than men in the relationship).

The going out with my friends at all hours of the day for however long I wish without a care in the world, not even bothering to let him know I’m good, i’m still alive, or simply that I wont be home till late..

The constant ogling at random “hot” guys that pass about just drooling because they are so fucking gorgeous.

The power switch, so that I now have total power and control over the relationship and how it is going to go and how decisions will be made..

and

Let us be the ones who dress slouchy and still be sexy as hell, while they have to where tight clothes and uncomfortable heels just so that we can whistle and say demeaning things to them in order to grab their attention. Then call them sluts for dressing sexy and for the simple fact that we cant have them..

I mean just for hour hour, i’m sure he wouldnt survive being me. This is the thing about men, they are sometimes( not all the times) very inconsiderate of their women’s feelings and most of the times take us for granted because they simply believe we will be by their side for ever.. While on the other hand they want, no, expect us to be all over them, and grant them every wish under the sun, not to mention know when they want to be with us and when they dont want to be.. as if we some sort of mind readers!

Lol, so I just say, lets trade places just for an hour, and see how that affects them. 😀

International Women’s Day

A woman is beauty..

A woman is strength..

A woman is power..

A woman is hope..

A woman is love..

A woman is the future..

woman

Today is International women’s day, International Women’s Day (IWD), originally called International Working Women’s Day, is marked on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women’s economic, political and social achievements.

In many parts of the world women are abused, treated like second class citizens  raped, and just plain disrespected and not loved the way they are supposed to be.

On this International Women’s Day let women embrace themselves in multiple identities and complexities. Each of us embodies many realities all at the same time. The same woman who may be raped is also a mother, a professional worker, a migrant labourer, or…. None of our issues should be singularised although there are times they need priority.

This said, it is time in 2013 to recognise us as a sexual class across the globe. Women as a sexual class inhabit the diverse politics of living in a female body with its many colours, races, genders and classes. As such this sexual class is not unitary, but rather poly-versally united.

International Women’s Day started in the early 1900s – mostly by Socialist Parties to recognise the paid “work” of women. The Soviet Union was famous for its rhetoric of “sexual equality”, while demanding triple days of labour from its women. Today, women across the globe work for wages as teachers, soldiers, civilians, warriors, doctors, nurses, medical-aides, lawyers, paralegals, domestic labourers, cooks, sex-workers, chefs, janitors, migrants and more.

These women are also daughters mothers, sisters, wives, partners, single, gay, straight, trans, rich, poor, middle class, slum-dwellers and homeless – while struggling and achieving – with cancer and without cancer; with AIDS and without AIDS; disabled or fully abled; in war zones and not. They come in all colours and design. No woman is ever simply/singularly female, but it is always of consequence that she is.

Common struggles

Women – in all their cacophonous variety have enormous potential power as labourers, child-bearers and child-rearers, and sustainers of everyday life. Patriarchy and misogyny struggle to control and contain this power.

int

If women were not as powerful as they also are sometimes powerless, we would simply be ignored. Instead, we are wrapped in blue cloth from head to toe, we are kept away from education, we are controlled to use right to divorce and right to control our bodies – abortion and contraception – only because those who dominate us fear our potential power and creativity; glass and cement ceilings keep us curtailed. You do not bother oppressing those who do little and are only capable of less.

Women are bound together by what they share, and also often pulled apart by their differences. Yet, there are common struggles: against sexual violence, for daycare and child-care supports; against unequal pay and for an end to sexual ghettos. Commonality does not require sameness.

In other words, women, in all their inter sectional diversity and individuality, must be recognized as a sexual class across racial and economic divides, with shared interests in order to be treated with full humanity. The women in Tahrir Square and in the streets of Tunisia demanded their human rights for themselves and all Egyptians and Tunisians alike. Their female bodies spoke of their sexual status, while they claimed their poly and universal rights to occupy the public streets. They chose not to be defined simply by their sexual status, but to claim that women’s rights are human rights.

Embrace women and girls – their bodies, their labor  their love, their “civilian” suffering in war, their hauling of water, their gathering of wood, their amazing creativity, their planting of trees, their protection of the environment, their stand against fracking, their fight to maintain abortion rights and other reproductive freedoms, their bravery in public and private spaces – anywhere and everywhere across this globe.

World Aids Day!!

As I wake up this morning i make it a point to let everyone know what today is. I have realized that it is in the society that i live in that no one care about educating themselves on this crucial matter, they live life( ignorantly thinking it does not concern them) day to day having unprotected sex, selling their bodies for not more than 20 buck even some of the doctors attempt to use the same needle on different patients *gasp*! So here is my little piece of encouragement and enlightenment for all who might be oblivious to this matter.

world

World AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1 each year around the world. It has become one of the most recognized international health days and a key opportunity to raise awareness, commemorate those who have passed on, and celebrate victories such as increased access to treatment and prevention services.

UNAIDS took the lead on World AIDS Day campaigning from its creation until 2004. From 2004 onwards the World AIDS Campaign’s Global Steering Committee began selecting a theme for World AIDS Day in consultation with civil society, organisations and government agencies involved in the AIDS response.

Themes run for one or two years and are not just specific to World AIDS Day. Campaigning slogans such as ‘Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise’ have been used year round to hold governments accountable for their HIV and AIDS related commitments.

It is such a shame to see that the people around me, people in my environment do not even know the symptoms of AIDS, they do not even know it is contracted, they just believe its a disease for homosexuals(yes still on that train) or for bad people, or even for non-Muslims(i live in a Muslim country, Malaysia and i’m surrounded by Arabs, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and of course Malaysians). It even hurts me more when they stupidly believe only Africans have AIDS( I mean what kind of fucked up ridiculousness is this!!).

Anyway, on this day i hope we an all learn a little bit more about this pandemic and educate as well as protect ourselves.

Stalkers And Secret Admirers..

Today i thought i should talk about something different, stalkers and secret admirers. Why do people become stalkers or secret admirers, even more importantly why do some people have stalkers!! I have had the experience of having someone actually stalk me, for me it was a very weird and somewhat scary experience. The girl was in love with me, but i did not feel the same for her at all ( i mean seeing as i am not attracted to girls and all). But it was a very traumatizing and stressful situation.

People characterized as stalkers may have a mistaken belief that another person loves them, or that they need rescuing.Stalking can sometimes consist of an accumulation of a series of actions which in themselves can be legal, such as calling on the phone, sending gifts, or sending emails. ( and i have experience all of the above, receiving email, phone calls, pictures of me taken when i didnt even know it, weird gifts) i mean name it i experienced it.. :-/

Despite a growing body of research in the past five years, stalking is still very misunderstood by the public, the courts and law enforcement. For practical purposes there are three types of stalking. Relationship stalking occurs when a couple breaks up. But that is not stalking in a legal sense. It just looks like and feels like stalking. Obsessional stalking develops because of the way the couple interacted and the way they broke up. Obsessional stalking is a psychological problem that has many causes but in general it is the result of an “on again” and “off again” relationship as was well as a “desire and fear of a relationship” in one person and “fear of separation and loss” in the other. The childhood of at least one these people is usually emotionally barren or emotionally abusive. Delusional stalking occurs when a mental disorder causes the person to become obsessed or fixated on some unsuspecting person because of what amounts to a medical condition.

Moving on, secret admirers arent really different from stalkers by my believe. I think the only difference is that we some how know that the secret admirers wont actually ever hurt us, or hurt other people because of their professed love for us.

secret admirer is an individual who feels adoration, fondness or love for another person without disclosing their identity to that person. The admirer may often send gifts or love letters to their crush. A secret admirer is usually benign. Mostly, the goal of a secret admirer is to woo the object of their affections, and then to reveal their identity, paving the way for a real relationship.

The best way to deal with a stalker is to remove yourself from the stalker’s reach. This should be your first priority. Cut off all communication with the stalker. Avoid responding. As for the Secret admirer i guess it all depends on whether you want to know who that person is or not, and whether you will want to get to know them more or not, if you are curious, then you can go ahead and meet your secret admirer or if you are not interested, you can just ignore them and not respond to their letters and invitations. 😀

Now im not sure why i have had both a stalker( luckly only one) and secret admirer ( i have had about 4 now).. but below is a picture of some letters i have gotten from both my stalker and secret admirers.. can you tell which one is which ? 🙂

Why Are We Humans So Misguided?

I just read an article stating that ” Malaysian states moot laws against gay Muslims”.

Now personally i don’t really have much to say on the country making the law except that they can do as they please since it’s their country. Every country makes controversial laws all the time like when France decided to have a law banning the hijab, or when in the USA in some states they do not allow girls to enter school premises when wearing a hijab or even when the anti homosexuality law in Uganda which when someone is found guilty of hormosexuality they are either given the dearth penalty or life imprisonment, so like i already stated, each country is allowed to pass any kind of law they feel suitable.

What bothers me though about this article is the hypocrisy and ignorance of the people who commented on it and that is what i would like to address here today on this article, the way most people act like they are better than others because of the way they are( their sexual orientation). There are quiet a lot of comments which make me wanna scream in this article, but i will just address a few of them.

A gentleman called Tal Deen

Why so many American men or European men become homosexual or lesbian as compared to the countries in Asia. This is due to their country’s laws support their right to be what they like although its not healthy for community’s moral and religious harmony. They can actually avoid becoming gays but as the laws allow them, their number grows bigger and bigger.

It amuses me to see this comment because Asia has the  fastest growing rates of Homosexuals in the world. Look at Thailand for example, and with out going very far, right here in Malaysia the amount of gays is ridiculous. So him saying American and European men are becoming gay because the laws agree with it is nothing short of ludicrousness.. In fact, the countries where most people are turning gay as you say are countries with strict laws against any such behavior.

Another comment states

Not all gays due to genetic, some of homosexual being that way because they had tried once and found it is sexually better than playing with girl. Just like drug addiction, Once you tried once, you will be addicted for the rest of your life. Similarly, the girl like to be lesbian because some girls like soft erotic and soft sex play which cannot be achieved with boys.

I definitely do not think there is a straight guy in the world thinking ” hhmm.. i wonder how it feels like to have sex with another dude”.. No sir, this is not the truth at all. So your idea that some people become gay because they have tried it and liked it better than ” playing with a girl” as you say is impossibly false. If he wants to try sleeping with a man, then that means he has some attraction to a man, and that means that he is either confused, gay or bisexual. WIth girls it’s a completely different issue, i think you will find that like 70 % of women want to try kissing a girl at least once in their lifetime, it has nothing to do with being a lesbian, it’s just an experience, and girls become lesbians because they are attracted to the female form, not the male form, and they don’t become lesbians because they want “soft erotic and soft sex” ( because sometimes they also want it rough from their girlfriends) and again, men can give them the soft sex if they want to.

Anyway, i don’t want to ramble, this article added on to my view of the world as it is now, people are narrow minded, ignorant and huge hypocrites when it comes to issues which should be handled with care and which should be looked at objectively with out mixing in our personal and wrong opinions.
